She focuses on quick, effective settlements that account for not only legal entitlements, but her client’s real needs, including their best emotional and financial outcomes.

Chanel’s practice spans both financial and parenting matters, specifically the more complex issues that arise after separation.  Chanel is committed to open dialogue and supporting families to get around the table. She draws from the Resolve Network of Professionals often, and has strong relationships with leading accountants, mediators, valuers, tax experts, allied health workers such as psychologists, and other leading family lawyers in Adelaide and interstate.

A trained and experienced Collaborative lawyer, Collaborative practice is Chanel’s preferred form of dispute resolution.  That is because she has achieved such great outcomes for her clients in this space, while preserving strong co-parenting relationships, and protecting children from unnecessary conflict.

Chanel has a Masters of Law (Family Law) and is an Accredited Specialist in family law, meaning she has achieved the highest level of training for a family lawyer in Australia.  She is Collaboratively trained and has studied internationally broadening her deep understanding of high conflict resolution, communication, and negotiation tactics.  Chanel is also a Certified Divorce Coach, with specialised skill in supporting clients through the emotional journey of separation.

Chanel is regularly involved with and speaks at state conferences on family law issues, in particular educating younger family lawyers to understand the complexity of supporting families to navigate the family law system.  She authors articles and presentations in family law annually.
