Chanel is a leading senior family lawyer full of ambition, influence and empathy. She is able to truly help her clients because she has a strong ability to connect deeply to them.

She emulates the true spirit of Resolve, as she strongly believes in out of court dispute resolution and works closely with clients to achieve positive outcomes for them whilst always giving sensible and realistic advice. She has a deep knowledge of all aspects of family and relationship law and adopts the Resolve Divorce holistic approach when assisting her clients. This means that Chanel draws from a range of professionals within the Resolve Network to ensure that client’s have the best chance at creating a positive future, post separation.

Before Resolve, Chanel was a Judge’s Associate for Justice Berman and Justice Dawe at the Family Court of Australia. Her familiarity with litigation, the judicial system and court processes, gives her greater perspective when it comes to negotiating. It also comes in handy in matters that need court intervention and so, makes her  our “go to” for any matters that go that way.

Chanel is an excellent researcher, has a strong understanding of the intricacies of family law and is always able to find solutions where unusual or complex questions of law are concerned. She fits Resolve because she is highly motivated, innovative, and full of fresh perspective. She also has a dynamic personality and can easily relate to clients, opposing solicitors, professional staff and the judiciary.

Chanel is super clever. She completed her Masters in Law (Family Law) at the College of Law in 2019. In the same year, Chanel was recognised as a Finalist in the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards (Family Law) and also a Finalist in the Australian Law Awards (Rising Star of the Year).

Chanel is passionate about making a difference. She is a Board Member at Australian Red Cross and has been for years. She is also a member of the Young Lawyers’ Committee at the Law Society of South Australia and a member of the organising committee for the Family Law Section National Family Law Conference 2020.
